Local Nonprofit SAFFT Hosts Color Run! SAFFT, also known as Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together, is hosting a Color Run called Foster Your Color Craze on July 31, 2021. Come out to our Forsyth Family life center located at 219 Castleberry Road in Cumming to join SAFFT for the Foster Your Color Craze 5K! Participants will get doused with different colors of powder along the course. So, get ready and bring your family, friends, and anyone else that wants to show off their colors, and have a great time! You can even sign up as a group and compete against other groups. Participants will pay $35 to participate in the 5K run/walk in person here with us at SAFFT or virtually. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. on July 31. All participants will receive a color run t-shirt and a bag full of goodies for the event. If you do not want to participate in the event, you can still donate and all of the proceeds will benefit SAFFT. (SAFFT) is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to protecting children, rebuilding families, and empowering caregivers. We offer numerous programs and services that offer support and healing to families to help break the generational cycle of child abuse and neglect, including parent coaching, case management, supervised visitation, group relationship building classes, as well as individual, family, group, and play therapy. With the understanding that most children in foster care are not looking for a new family, but for their own family to be healthier, stronger, and more stable, our ultimate goal for each family that walks through our doors is a successful reunification. For caregivers, whether foster, adoptive, or relative, we provide various options for receiving education, support, resources like clothing, hygiene items, school supplies, and new toys, and more. SAFFT currently has centers in Forsyth and Hall County and serves families in twelve counties.
