Chamber unveils new county map
DAWSONVILLE, GEORGIA- April 10, 2017:  It’s now much easier to find your way around Dawson County.
New maps of the city of Dawsonville and Dawson County are available courtesy of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce. The map features up-to-date names of all city streets and county roads as well as detailed insets of the city of Dawsonville, Big Canoe, 400 Corridor and Dawson Forest. It unfolds into an easy-to-read size of 22 x 28 inches and tri-folds for compact storage in a car, purse or tote bag.
“Maps are one of the top-requested items people ask for when they visit the welcome center.  Often residents and visitors find that using map platforms and GPS devices does not get them to their correct location due to the many changes our community has experienced in the past 10 years, as well as, the rural nature of our county,” Dawson County Chamber President Christie Haynes said. “We are happy to be able to provide visitors and residents alike with such a tool to navigate through our beautiful county.”
The map also features local businesses who invested in the project. “This map would not have been possible without the support of our business community,” Haynes said. “We so appreciate our businesses and partners for seeing the value of investing in our map.”
The map is available at no cost at the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce office located at 44 Commerce Drive on Highway 400. A digital version of the map can also be viewed on the chamber website. To view the map online, visit the Chamber’s website
